Prices and conditions

The price and conditions below apply to all guiding booked through the Tourist Guide Association’s office or it’s website
Transfer: (not guiding), max. 2 hours……………………………………             DKK 800/ € 108

Guiding in a coach (coach hire not included): up to 3 hours…………….. DKK 1.700/ € 228

Tours of museums:

Overtime supplement:

An additional fee is charged for guide services in excess of eight hours; DKK 188/ € 25 per hour for the first 2 additional hours, thereafter DKK 375/ € 51 per hour.

Supplement for staggered hours:

An additional fee is charged for services rendered between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. (22.00 – 08.00) of DKK 375/ € 51 per hour for the first 2 additional hours: , thereafter DKK 375/€51 per hour. However,  when the supplement for staggered hours and overtime coincide, the supplement for overtime no longer applies.

Distance/transport supplement:

For tours to or from sites outside central Copenhagen (public transport zone 1) payment is required for the necessary travel time of the tourist guide, with a minimum fee corresponding to the charge for 1 hour. In addition, the actual cost of the guide’s transport to/from Copenhagen Central Station has to be paid by the customer.

Please note that Copenhagen Airport is situated outside public transport zone 1.

Harbour Supplement:
For tours starting or ending at the Copenhagen Harbour a supplement corresponding to the fee for 1 hour is charged.
If a tour starts and ends at the Copenhagen Harbour only 1 hour is charged.

Language supplement:

When guiding in more than one language, a supplement of DKK  500/ € 67 applies per additional language for the first 3 hours. Additional hours are paid at DKK 200/€ 27 per commenced hour per language.An additional DKK 260/€ 35 per hour, per extra language is charged for guide service in more than one language.

Translation supplement:

An additional DKK 375/ € 51 per hour is charged for translation services.applies per additional language for the first 3 hours. 

 All supplements are to be paid for each commenced hour.

Preparation:

When special preparation for a tour is needed, in accordance with the wishes of the employer, and/or the guide services given to the group exceed the normal limits of a guided tour, an agreement for the additional fee in this regard must be made. This fee is based on the standard hourly fee plus any possible extra charges.

Tours in excess of one day:

A daily fee of DKK 3.500,-(Euro 470), is charged for tours on which the tourist guide also functions as the tour leader (two or more days). The tourist guide is entitled to board and lodgings (single room with bath) on all tours in excess of one day.

Normal rates for tour guiding are charged in addition to the daily fee as tour leader.

Meal allowance:

For tours of 5 hours or longer, when no meal is provided free of charge, the guide is entitled to a meal allowance as follows:

until 2.30 p.m. (14.30), per meal …………………………………………………..  DKK    150 / € 20

Cancellation fee:

In the event of cancellation later than 24 hours before the scheduled start of a tour, or in the event of “no-show”, the full amount for the tour must be paid.

A fee of DKK 1.700/€ 228 is charged for cancellation within 72 hours of the start of a tour.

Payment

The guide fee is to be paid in cash directly to the guide before the tour starts unless an alternative agreement is made.

All expenses with regard to payment by bank transfer are to be paid for by the customer.
